About the practice

Built just over 10 years ago, the practice at Fishponds is modern and comfortable with a dedicated team who work together to make the practice a great place to work.

The practice is part of the Inner City & East locality.

The practice offers pre-bookable appointments (up to three weeks ahead), plus same day appointments. A buddy/sharing system means that any extras on the day are usually shared by three people.

Practice services also include offering implants and coils and carrying out minor surgery.

Working environment, values and culture

The team at Fishponds are friendly and supportive and aim to find a healthy work/life balance.

The team has a daily lunchtime get together and organises social events whenever possible. For example, a recent Practice Away Day took the team to City Mazes, followed by rounders and croquet with meals before and after.

What we offer

The practice is happy to consider all kinds of flexible working options on an as-agreed basis. Most existing staff are part-time.

In terms of support, the practice holds regular meetings to discuss cases, MDT meetings, access to a lead GP for support, GP expertise in different areas, plus protected time in a group setting with a psychotherapist.

Learning and development

New staff benefit from a full induction, buddy scheme, mentoring scheme and social events, plus a daily lunchtime get together.

Induction also includes an introduction to the management team and PA.

For different staff groups, the practice also offers paid leave for courses/CPD study days, funding for approved training and development courses, and study leave for approved examinations.
