4-6 session salaried GP - East Trees Health Centre -Bristol

We are an inner city teaching and training practice working from a building we own. We have 15,000 patients. We are 5 partners, 6 salaried GPs, 1 retainer, 1 ANP, 2 pharmacists, a structured nursing team with a supportive management and non-clinical team. We have a pharmacy on our site and we are within easy walking, cycling or scooting distance of the city centre. We have many additional services and charms including:

 

  • Wellbeing for clinicians:

*Daily coffee break

*30 minute weekly mentor slot for newly qualified GP’s
*Peer mentors

* Weekly 30 minute educational meeting

*6 weekly clinical meeting for 90 minutes

*Monthly meeting with psychiatry

  • Bristol Community Rose clinic supporting women who have experienced FGM
  • Teaching practice with students from Bristol, Imperial and UCL

  • In-house meetings: safeguarding, frailty, medicines management, diabetes, palliative care, dementia to maintain excellent care
  • Capped surgeries with a focus on continuity for patients which means we manage without an on call or duty doctor
  • Care navigation system prior to clinician call allocation
  • Buddy system for GPs for results and documents
  • Safe circumcision service for boys under 6 months for whom this is a cultural need
  • Weekly sexual health clinics with opportunity to learn coil and implant fitting
  • Regular PCN clinics in the practice with dietician, podiatrist and physiotherapist
  • Sirona health is based at our building so we can speak to our district nursing and health visitor colleagues face to face
  • Good relationships with local voluntary sector recently shown through active involvement to the local community vaccine outreach work

 

We are looking for a 4-6 session salaried GP.

We would like someone who has the same enthusiasm for sustainable practice and patient care as we do, who would like support to develop their own skills and interests for the benefit of our community. Future partnership is also a possibility.

 

Salary is dependent on experience.
