We are a forward thinking GP Practice seeking a salaried Pharmacist to join our multi-disciplinary team in providing high quality patient care in North Bristol. We pride ourselves on being a fantastic place to work, somewhere that you will feel valued, supported, developed and part of a family. In this role, you will manage repeat prescription (re)authorisations, acute prescription requests, management of medicines on transfer of care and systems for safer prescribing; perform face-to-face medication reviews of patients with polypharmacy; and, provide leadership on quality improvement and clinical audit. As part of the pilot, this role will have access to a free, comprehensive training and development programme. Participation in this programme is an essential part of a role within this pilot.

The successful applicant will ideally have previous experience of working in primary care to develop and manage medicines optimisation services and be an independent prescriber, or be prepared to undertake the required training. Post-graduate diploma is desirable.

  • Hours: part-time i.e. 30 hours on average per week
  • Salary Guide: £32,000 - £44,500 (pro rata)subject to qualifications and experience
  • Other benefits: NHS Pension (offering 14.3% employers contribution), further clinical training and development, regular clinical supervision time
