We continually support the health needs of our vibrant area, acknowledging the needs of our younger and diverse populations as well as those of our growing elderly communityAn exciting opportunity has arisen to join the CCG’s Research and Evidence (R&E) team in an Evaluation and Evidence Support role. The focus of this role is the provision of evidence and evaluation support to commissioners across BNSSG in delivering VBH. This role will help to consolidate the embedding of evaluation and evidence into commissioning decision making. Your role will be twofold: (i) to support the use of evidence in decision making - accessing and appraising evidence and assessing the usefulness of evidence, and (ii) to support the evaluation of a range of health and social care programmes, projects, services and interventions from inception to action. This is a key role in terms of ensuring that commissioners’ work to deliver the both the Sustainability and Transformation and Long-Term Plans is underpinned by robust evidence and strong evaluation planning.
You will be provided with the opportunity to apply your evidence and evaluation knowledge and skills in practice and to further develop your expertise. You will work under the supervision of the Evaluation and Evidence Manager in the R&E team, and will work closely with the other Evaluation and Evidence Support post holder. You will also work closely with colleagues from within other teams within the CCG to support them with their evaluation and evidence needs. You will be an integral part of the Evidence and Evaluation work streams within the R&E team to deliver the R&E strategy.
This is an 18-month fixed-term post that will provide you with grounding in the practice of evidence-based practice and practical evaluation. However, there may be an opportunity to extend the post to include enable you to undertake further training, depending on funding and achievement of annual objectives (see job description for details).
