Junior Health Care Assistant (HCA) - Students Health

The role

 

University of Bristol Students’ Health Service is a GP practice for University students and their dependents. We are looking to recruit a healthcare assistant to work 3 days (21 hours) per week (Monday, Tuesday and Thursday) 8-4pm.

You will be part of the nurse team which consists of 8 nurses, 2 mental health nurses and 2 healthcare assistants, and will occasionally provide some reception cover.

Students’ Health Service is a Covid secure working environment.

 

What will you be doing?

 

You will support the work of the clinical staff, and have responsibility for a range of clinical and administrative duties, e.g. phlebotomy (taking blood), taking observations, urinalysis, acting as a chaperone for coil clinics, ordering medical supplies, stocking up clinical rooms, and occasional reception cover.

 

You should apply if

 

You are a highly motivated, enthusiastic, Health Care Assistant with experience in a Primary Care setting, ideally with a special interest in the health of young people.

School/Unit: Students' Health Service

Shift pattern: Monday - Tuesday - Thursday 8am - 4pm 

You will be required to complete a DBS check for this role.
