Nurse Perscriber - University of Bristol Students’ Health Service

The role

 

University of Bristol Students’ Health Service is a GP practice for Bristol university students and their dependents. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced professional to deliver a high quality service within a dynamic and rewarding environment.  You should be an experienced Nurse Prescriber, ideally with experience or knowledge relevant to working with the student age group. 

 

What will you be doing?

 

The clinical role includes telephone triage, decision making, treatment and issuing prescriptions as required, assessment of minor illness and injury, chronic disease management, wound care, immunisations, sexual health and contraception. You will act as an independent nurse practitioner, demonstrating a high level of practice and knowledge whilst participating in direct evidence based patient care.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced medical professional to deliver a high quality service within a dynamic and rewarding environment.  You should be an experienced Nurse Prescriber, with excellent proven clinical skills within a Primary Care setting, and ideally with experience or knowledge relevant to working with the student age group.

 

Additional information

Work pattern: 2.5 days per week (Mon/Tues plus one half day to be agreed). Occasional working on a Saturday or weekday evening, and some cover of university closure days is also required.

Students’ Health Service is a Covid secure working environment.
